I had the pleasure of being neighbors with Simple Hydration at the Flying Pig Race Expo in Cincinnati a few weeks ago. The founder, Brian, is a super nice guy and has a great product! A life long runner he came up with the idea for this new kind of water bottle while training for an Ironman. He designed this bottle so that it easily slips into the waistband of your bottoms, belt, pocket or racer back bra!
I've been a handheld bottle girl myself. I'm not a fan of water bottles jiggling around my waist on a belt or sloshing around in a pack on my back. Never mind, the extra layers in the heat and humidity and the chaffing it causes! This product intrigued me because it is always nice to be able to run while not holding my bottle and it seemed perfect for carrying in the Blyss Distance Short pocket!
And it was!
I started my run holding the bottle in my hand which was very comfortable. After a mile, I put the bottle in my side pocket. At first it felt a little strange, but after another mile or so it felt normal and I didn't give it another thought except when I needed some water and forgot it was in my pocket! I loved being able to run without holding it!
Earlier in the week, I tried the Simple Hydration bottle with the Blyss Trail Skirt. I tucked the bottle in my waistband for a few miles and loved how cool it felt on a particularly warm day. I can imagine filling it with ice in the summer! And if you wear a racer/cross back sports bra, it'd definitely be great tucked in high on your back under the bra straps!
These bottle are BPA free and made right here in the USA! I have 2 Simple Hydration water bottles to give away to 2 lucky people! Leave a comment here on the blog OR "like" and comment on our Facebook page and tell us why you'd like to win a Simple Hydration bottle. I'll be randomly drawing 2 names on Monday, May 23rd around 9:00am EDT.
