Eco Friendly Running Clothes

You are probably aware that Blyss Running is made here in the USA..... Pennsylvania to be exact. Did you also know that it is not only important to me where our product is made, but what our product is made of? There's no way around the fact that polyester fabrics are not very earth friendly to produce. Large amounts of petroleum are needed to make this fiber. Polyester also happens to be a necessary component in the make up of running gear. With this in mind, we are trying to find ways to produce Blyss in the least damaging way possible. Looking ahead our Trail Skirt will be compromised entirely of recycled polyester and spandex blend fabrics. Currently, the black option is made entirely in this fabric. All of the undershorts on our Blyss Skirts are also made of this same recycled polyester and spandex fabric. As we grow, we hope to provide even more options in recycled products. In addition to this, our fabric supplier utilizes direct to textile sublimation printing technology which essentially means cleaner water and less energy used to make all the fun prints.  Their green chemistry contains no formaldehyde, halogenated flame retardants, vinyl plasticizers, or any other toxic chemicals, such as heavy metals, carcinogens, or volatile organic compounds.

I truly like knowing each of my customers and had hoped to be able to remain small and successful.
