Thank You Charleston

April 01, 2016

Wow, what a crazy good week it's been!

Spending spring break with my family on a long ago planned trip, launching my website and debuting Blyss Running at my first race expo.  Normally, I wouldn't have planned these events to happen this way, but if running has taught me anything it's to plan accordingly, but always be prepared for the unexpected.

For months I have been in the depths of fabric testing, samples, elastic width, more samples, budgeting, waistband stitching and even more samples.  Not that I don't love being involved in these things, because I do, but these past few days in Charleston at the Cooper River Bridge Run race expo have been a real treat. Getting to meet the women who want to wear my clothes is exciting and leaves me full of gratitude.  I loved meeting each and every one of you....unique but all wanting similar details in your running/walking apparel.

I cannot express how much joy it brings me to see someone loving the way she looks when trying on one of my designs. Or when her eyes light up when she realizes the short she's trying can comfortably hold her phone. Or when she realizes she's found a short long enough that she doesn't have to worry about chaffing.

Thank you Charleston. Thank you to all the fabulous women I had the opportunity to meet and talk with.  Thank you to my dear friend, April. who gave up her family time to lend me a hand at the expo. I cannot put into words what it means to have your support, friendship and 'gift of gab' skills. Thank you to all my wonderfully beautiful friends for your support, sharing and permission to post your backsides on my website! Thank you all for reading my first post! Thank you!

On to Cincinnati next.....the Flying Pig awaits!  Hope to see and meet more of you!

Find your blyss,

Alyson

I still believe Blyss could be wildly successful and big with the right funding and leadership, but at this point in my life I'm not comfortable with taking that financial risk nor am I excited about leading a big company. I truly like knowing each of my customers and had hoped to be able to remain small and successful.
